Farshid Amir, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in 1993 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 1994, Dr. Amir completed his contact lens residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His special field of interest is contact lenses.

Dr. Amir’s interest in optometry was sparked by his desire to see the world through someone else’s eyes and being able to provide his patients with their best vision possible. Dr. Amir particularly likes being able to help people improve their overall eye health and become more comfortable with their vision.

In his spare time away from the office, Dr. Amir enjoys spending time playing golf.
